Too many people in Philadelphia are stuck in a cycle of rushed appointments, shared sessions, and symptom-only treatment that never gets to the root of their pain.
Pelvic Pain That Disrupts Your Daily Life
Feeling Frustrated by Treatments That Don't Work
Missing Out on the Life You Want to Live
Persistent pelvic pain can make everyday activities like sitting, exercising, working, or spending time with family uncomfortable. Without proper treatment, you may find yourself avoiding the activities you once enjoyed.
Rushed appointments, generic exercises, and treatments that only address symptoms can leave you feeling stuck. When the underlying causes of pelvic pain go unaddressed, lasting relief may remain out of reach.
Pelvic pain, discomfort during intimacy, and bladder control issues can affect your confidence, relationships, and overall quality of life. The longer these challenges go unaddressed, the more they may interfere with your daily routine and personal goals.

"I've had such a great experience working with Dr. Sam during my postpartum journey. Dr. Sam is such a refreshing and passionate individual who is knowledgeable in her expertise. She takes the time to sit down and listen to your feedback and is able to create realistic goals for you that are not too challenging for a new mom. She made me feel comfortable enough where you're able to have an open conversation and ask questions just about anything! I am so glad Restore PT opened a location in South Philly — the atmosphere is so cozy and relaxing, 10/10 recommend!"
Your Path to Relief: The Root. Rebalance. Restore. Framework
Step 1 — Root
Step 2 — Rebalance
Step 3 — Restore
We don't just treat where it hurts. Your DPT conducts a thorough evaluation of your pelvic floor, spine, hips, and the regions above and below your symptoms to uncover the true root cause of your pelvic pain, incontinence, or movement limitation — using functional movement assessment, manual therapy evaluation, and hands-on examination.
Using your individualized findings, your DPT builds a targeted treatment plan combining manual therapy, soft tissue mobilization, instrument-assisted soft tissue mobilization (IASTM), dry needling for the low back, pelvis, hips, and lower extremities, breathwork, pelvic floor internal and external techniques, and therapeutic exercise — all calibrated to your body, your goals, and your life.
With your pain addressed and your movement patterns corrected, we guide your return to the activities you love — whether that's running your first postpartum mile, lifting without leaking, getting through the workday pain-free, or simply playing with your kids without holding back.

Frequently Asked Questions
Everything you need to know before your first visit.
What is pelvic floor physical therapy, and do I need it?
Pelvic floor physical therapy is specialized care for the group of muscles, connective tissues, and nerves at the base of your pelvis. It treats conditions like pelvic pain, incontinence, painful intercourse, prolapse, diastasis recti, and pregnancy or postpartum recovery. If any of these issues are affecting your daily life — even if you've been told they're 'normal' — a pelvic floor PT evaluation can help identify the root cause and create a clear plan to address it.
Do I need a doctor's referral to be seen?
No referral is required. Pennsylvania is a direct-access state, which means you can schedule directly with our Doctors of Physical Therapy. Not sure if PT is right for you? We offer a free phone consultation before you commit to anything.
Do you accept insurance?
Restore PT is a cash-based, out-of-network practice. This means your DPT — not your insurance company — directs your care. We provide detailed superbills that many patients submit for out-of-network reimbursement (patients commonly report 40–100% reimbursement). We accept FSA and HSA payments, and we provide Good Faith Estimates for full cost transparency upfront.
Can I bring my baby to my appointment?
Absolutely. Our sessions are fully baby-friendly — new moms and caregivers are always welcome to bring their little ones. No childcare is ever required to receive care at Restore PT.
What should I expect at my first pelvic health appointment?
Your first session is a full one-on-one hour with your Doctor of Physical Therapy — no aides, no interruptions. Your DPT will review your health history, discuss your goals, perform a thorough physical evaluation, and may use hands-on manual therapy, external and internal pelvic floor techniques (with your full consent and explanation at every step), breathwork, and movement assessment. You'll leave with a clear diagnosis, a personalized care plan, and answers to every question you have.
Do you offer home visits or telehealth?
Yes. Our concierge at-home physical therapy service brings all of Restore PT's care — including pelvic floor internal techniques, manual therapy, dry needling (low back, pelvis, hips, and lower extremities), IASTM, and therapeutic exercise — directly to your home. We serve South Philadelphia, Passyunk Square, Rittenhouse Square, Fishtown, Northern Liberties, and surrounding neighborhoods, as well as the Main Line, Montgomery County, and Delaware County with limited availability.
